I got this amp on ebay some years ago for around $400 US. What convinced me to seek this particular model was hearing Bob Carver, slip and say it was the best sounding amp he’d ever made. This was during an interview promoting his Sunfire amps!
So I was expecting it to sound good. Nevertheless, upon first audition I was shocked just how good it sounded! The midrange is sweet and the treble is silky. It sounds every bit like the Silver Seven tube amp it was designed to emulate. Somehow, Bob managed to duplicate it exactly. Amazing.!
